A blank hour is not an hour at the café

Suppose an appointment ends at 12:00 and the next starts at 13:00. An illustrative candidate takes 10 minutes to reach, 25 minutes to enjoy and 15 minutes to leave for the next appointment. That uses 50 minutes, leaving 10. These are example numbers, not a checked route.

If the same visit takes 45 minutes, it no longer fits. The destination did not become worse; it simply belongs in a different part of your day.

Begin from the gap you actually have

In Nowhop’s development build, you can open Discover from a gap in Plan or begin with Discover and choose the intended date and time. The first route carries useful context: the commitments before and after the gap. That reduces repeated setup while keeping the choice yours.

Review the previous place, the next place and the transport mode. An event without a location is not automatically at your current position. If either journey cannot be checked, the interface should say so rather than budget zero travel time.

Choose a reason, not a quota

A quiet coffee before the train, a short walk after lunch, or an exhibition you have wanted to see can each make a day more memorable. You do not need to do all three. Existing plans may already be enough.

On a trip, the same approach works between a hotel check-in and dinner. An accommodation entry gives context, but it does not make every free hour available for an activity. Rest, luggage and an unfamiliar neighborhood are real parts of a day, even without a calendar block.

Confirm once, then get on with your day

After choosing a place, check the date, time, duration and relevant travel estimates before adding it. Keep the original appointments fixed. If the schedule changes while you are choosing, the fit must be checked again.

Plan records the intention. Your walking map changes only when eligible movement is actually recorded. You can cancel the stop, take a different route or simply go home. Making today special does not require completing an app’s checklist.
