A visual choice, with a clear limit
Apple describes Look Around as panoramic views available in selected places. That makes it helpful for a question such as “What does this stretch of street feel like?” It is not a complete catalog of restaurant interiors, dishes or current events.
A place can have a valid name and address without an available scene. The fallback should still let you understand its position. Missing photography is not evidence that the place is uninteresting or closed.
Keep the choice small
In Nowhop’s development build, Discover presents a place you can pass over or choose. Swiping is a convenient gesture, not a requirement to build your day. Once a place interests you, review the date, start time and visit duration before confirming it in Plan.
The point is to move from a possibility to one useful decision. A photo should not force you through a long quiz, and choosing it should not pretend you have made a booking.
The setting and the schedule belong together
A courtyard may look appealing and still be the wrong stop for a short break. Check the trip from your preceding appointment and the onward trip to the next one. Walking time is only part of the visit: ordering, waiting, entering a venue and finding the exit can all take time.
Nowhop requests relevant travel estimates through Apple Maps when evaluating a place against neighboring plans. Missing directions remain unknown. A map thumbnail cannot establish that a venue is open, accessible or taking walk-ins; confirm those details with the venue when they matter.
What the preview shows
The landing page’s opening Discover capture comes from a Nowhop Simulator view using Apple Look Around at Grand Central Terminal. The interactive browser day below uses separate public samples and simulated travel values. The campaign travel photos are generated illustrations, not Look Around scenes.
This distinction keeps the demo useful: you can inspect how a place becomes a plan without mistaking a browser illustration for live street coverage. Nowhop is still in development; the availability of an Apple scene also varies by location.
